Sneak peek of our new shutters

Today has been the most productive day I've had in awhile! I just got over a sinus infection and summer semester has started and I've taken on a busy class load meaning less time for doing what I love (I'm crying on the inside). But... I'm less than six months from graduating! After four hours of homework and a quick jog around the neighborhood, I officially have my front door painted, decal added, and the lower shutters hung! I may have taken a fall off the ladder and said a few choice words, but they're up. Hopefully this coming weekend I can get the other two pairs up so my neighbors don't have to look at mismatched shutters too long! I'll be sure to post a complete post with product links and color choices once the project is completed.

Flea Market Shelf Turned Pot Rack

Flea Market Shelf Turned Pot Rack | Blush & Batting Blog

Here's the post I promised about the $2 shelf I picked up the other day at the flea market! I apologize for the lack of a true "before" picture. I realized after starting to paint that I forgot to take one :)

I used my usual Behr Polar Bear white paint and s hooks from the hardware store. I'm pretty much in love with these Paula Deen cookware in robin's egg blue that Brent got me for Christmas. They're too cute not to have on display! These jars are a mix of ones I got as a set from Target and ones I bought individually from Hobby Lobby. I need to pick up another package of chalkboard labels!
