Since I’m in my 39th week of pregnancy sleep is challenging! So here I am, finally writing all about baby girl #2’s nursery! When choosing a second girl theme I knew I wanted to stick with a similar color palette that we used in our first daughter’s room [HERE] because eventually one day they will share a room and I want to be able to sort of mesh their decor. But I also knew I wanted a totally different feel. Our first daughter’s room has warm wood tone accents and I knew I wanted to incorporate brassy gold tones in little sister’s room. I was also working with carpet in this nursery that isn’t exactly the most beautiful shade.
Here are paint specifics of the nursery: Wall Color- Behr Whisper White in Satin Accent Wall Color- Behr Rosewater in Satin Trim and Door color- Behr Polar Bear in Semi Gloss

There are a few things I cannot link for you including the tassel wall hanging because it is a DIY made with THIS yarn from Hobby Lobby and a dowel rod. I’ve listed links to all linkable items at the very end of this post! If certain items were no longer available, I linked very similar items that I myself would have used in place of the ones pictured. Unfortunately, the exact rug is no longer available from Target and the exact curtains and gold basket are no longer available from TJMaxx.
If you took a second to look at our oldest daughter’s nursery, you’ll see many familiar items that have now been moved into this nursery! I’m in the process of creating a more toddler friendly room for my oldest! Our oldest (will be 21 months old when little sister arrives) isn’t quite ready to transition to a toddler bed, so we knew we would need a second crib. I’m completely obsessed with our oldest daughter’s crib, but this one is absolutely adorable!
Honestly, this entire room was created around this rug! I’ve had this rug for 4-5 years and think it’s so fun! The beige/cream tones do a really good job of tying in the not so beautiful (but new when we moved in, so I can’t justify ripping up) carpet. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available but this rug is a great alternative!
This nursery is a fairly small space so I chose the Ikea Hemnes 3 drawer dresser (in WHITE finish, not white stain) for our changing table instead of the Hemnes 8 drawer dresser (which we already own 2 of). There is absolutely plenty of space for a changing pad, traditional or plastic. Swapping out the knobs gives the dresser more personality!
With this being my second time around nursing a baby I knew I wanted the Hatch Baby Grow Scale/Pad. I was never super concerned about weight gain with our oldest, but being able to call in a weight during those first few weeks to the pediatrician is so much more convenient than actual weight check visits, especially during flu season.
When picking a “theme” I knew I wanted to keep it simple. I chose three unicorn themed items and called it a day. I absolutely love the crib sheet because it has gold and gray in it! The Mud Pie mini unicorn head is nearly the exact shade of pink as the accent wall.
I want to discuss my rocker! This rocker was in Adelaide’s nursery. Would I pick the same one again? Absolutely not and here’s why. The rocker version of this chair slides all over the place, regardless of the floor type. Addy’s room was hardwood, it slid. This nursery is carpet, it still slides. It’s a royal pain and if you love the look and have to have it, buy the glider version! With that being said, it is a firm chair. It’s not cozy or plush and not the best for resting your own eyes while holding or nursing baby. My piece of advice, buy a reclining glider chair! It’s worth the investment when you spend so much time in it postpartum (especially c section mamas).
If you’re on the fence about whether or not the Hatch Baby Rest Noise Machine is worth it- I promise it is! For the simple fact that I can operate it from an app on my phone is the best! Not to mention you can curate and save different combinations of sounds, sound volumes, and lights for bedtime and naps and set up a program that kicks on at the same time daily! It’s a magical device that all moms should get!

ks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to

A fire watch security guard is not just a simple security guard. In fact, they are always on double duty. Mainly they serve as security personnel but are also responsible for protecting people from unwanted fires.
