So, as I'm rolling through my 36th week of pregnancy, I thought it would be the perfect time to share our nursery! I started this nursery transformation VERY early on in our pregnancy because the room needed some TLC that I knew I would not have the energy for later on. This room used to be our "master" bedroom as there is not a designated one in our 1960's home. You can view our new master bedroom tour here! I waited four long years to create this quaint, little space, so I wasted no time getting started! I had created an inspiration post before starting the room if you'd like to see what I had initially envisioned here!
First things first, I tore up all the old floor trim and replaced it with new trim, as well as swapped out the door trim (long term goal is to change the rest of the upstairs trim to match) and door knob. Next, I painted the walls a very neutral, warm toned white.
Paint and Stain Colors: Trim/Door Color: Behr Premium Semi- Gloss in Polar Bear Wall Color: Behr Premium Satin in Painter's White Triangle Shelving and Growth Chart Stain Color: Minwax Weathered Oak
I have created numerous growth rulers/charts for people I know over the years and was ecstatic to finally create my own! Here, I created a post a few years back on making these DIY rulers! This and the wood shelves I built were stained in Minwax Weathered Oak, my go-to stain as of lately. I purchased the wood numbers from Joann Fabrics, but you could easily stencil numbers on.
I decided to keep things light and bright in keeping with a very neutral color palette and adding pops of pink with accessories and painting the inside of the triangle shelves I built. Some might argue this color palette isn't exactly kid friendly, but if you know me, I'm not a bold colored kind of person and I don't mind a little extra cleaning if that means living in a space that makes my soul happy!
For details on how to make your own nursery mobile, visit here! It was such an easy project and gives the nursery such a personalized feel! I also handmade this wood sign using an old vintage picture frame and underlayment. The quote is from the book/movie, Anne of Green Gables.
My plan for the closet is once the baby is on the move, reinstalling the closet doors and painting them in a dark grey chalkboard paint. But for now, I'm enjoying the easy access and plan to find some cute baskets to hide the boxed diaper stash. The white woven basket underneath the end table will serve the purpose of hiding all of my pumping/nursing supplies.

Was curious about your storage bins in the closet - where did you get them from? Both the pink and polka dot.

Hello! I have actually linked the diaper bag and pink and white storage boxes at the bottom of the blog post :) The diaper bag is Skip Hop brand and the bins with lids are from Target. The grey and white bins in the top of the closet are actually drawer organizers from Ikea! Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by!

Hello! I bought the dresser less than six months ago. This particular dresser comes in a “white” finish and a “white stain” finish. I purchased the “white”. It’s far more durable than the stained version. In fact, I love this dresser so much, we own two. Try this link! https://m.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/art/80374284/

Hello!! I didn’t notice a smell at all! But we did purchase our crib very early on and stored it in the box in our garage for several months before assembling, so maybe it had time to air out (outside of a factory/warehouse). We love how sturdy the crib is and it’s clean lines! Hope this helps!

Hey Tiffany! I love this rocker! Personally, I regret not purchasing the glider version because the rocker version slides all over the area rug. Aesthetically, I much prefer the look of the rocker, but the glider would be much more functional. I do find it super comfy and love that the upper sides protrude creating a place to lay you head again. Here is a link to the glider version!

For your end table, Target has 2 options a small one that's 18 inches in diameter and bigger one that is 27 inches in diameter. Do you happen to know which one worked for you? I can't decide which one to get!

I got the smaller of the two and it’s the perfect size! It holds the fiddle leaf plant, humidifier and her noise machine perfectly.

Thank you!! The name sign is from a small shop @whimsytimber on Instagram! She also sells through the boutique app JANE. It’s a flash sale app, so the deals are only a few days at a time and it’s the cheapest way to buy! Hope this helps!

Hello! I actually did end up buying black out shades that I installed and it made a huge difference in sleep quality! I never felt like blackout curtains blocked out enough light when I hd bought them previously so replacing our 2” faux wood blinds with blackout shades did the trick!
