Making our oldest feel special throughout this pregnancy has been a priority of mine. She’s young enough though that she doesn’t fully understand what is about to rock her world. I knew I wanted to throw together something special for her from her new little sister. I chose the items below based on her specific interests and tried to stick to a reasonable budget since the holidays AND her birthday are right around the corner.

*Each Item is linked below in the photos*

I chose this cute doll because it is interactive, which isn’t like any other doll she has. She can play with her baby while I’m busy with sister! And she will love the removable pacifier.

i think buying a big sister book was a given! Our girl loves reading and reciting books, so this is right up her alley.

When I came across this LCD tablet, I knew I had to buy it for Addy! She absolutely loves drawing and I love that it’s easy to clear the screen with the push of a button! And mess free!

I have been in love with wood, heirloom type toys since before having children (so much so that I swore we’d never buy plastic toys, HAHA!). So when I stumbled on Bannor Toys a few years ago on Instagram, I was in love. The personalization just makes them so special. I also bought little sister one to use in announcement photos.

I threw in a cute sweet treat for Addy as well. That girl sure loves suckers, so this adorable llama sucker I found at a local cookie store was perfect.

Lastly, I bought a plain white canvas bag from Hobby Lobby to personalize. I cut out letters and sewed them on, then added a bow and tassel. You could definitely take an easier route and buy iron on embellishments and letters!

ks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experi ence mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knodcwing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
