First Floor Bathroom

Our first floor bath was probably the most labor intensive project we took on last year. We gutted an entry way closet to convert a half bath into a full, since our home only had one other full bathroom. My husband Brent and I did 100% of the gutting and hired a contractor to plumb, drywall, lay floor tile, and install the shower, toilet and vanity. The rest was up to me: paint, install shelving, cosmetic things. We saved a lot of money by finding a contractor who would allow us to outright buy the big supplies, so we were left with primarily a labor only bill. This gave me the opportunity to find bargains and get exactly what I wanted for the price I wanted to spend! Links for the products I used are attached to the photos.

Here are some before photos

In the first photo you can see the entry closet we removed. In the second photo there is a hall linen closet we also removed to allow more space in the soon to be full bath. In the third and forth photos you can see a soffett that housed plumbing that we scaled down as small as we could to allow more room as well. All vinyl, wood and sub-floors were removed to allow for tiles.

Here are some during photos
And here are the after photos
Paint color: Behr Durango Blue
Flooring tile: Large tiles are a discontinued tile from Home Depot and the glass tiles in between are from Lowes
Vanity: Menards
While getting the link for the vanity, I discovered how much it has been marked down since we purchased it! Click on the photo for the link.
Shower unit: Bargain Outlet
We bought it at Bargain Outlet, but the link provided is being sold from Menards
Toilet: Home Depot
This toilet is the best! I wish I had bought it before I bought the upstairs bathroom toilet. Such a steal for only $88!
Mirror:: Tj Maxx
Light Fixture: Lowes
Towels:: Kohls
These towels hold up so well! I will never buy another brand of towels
Rug:: Home Goods
Shelves: I custom made to fit the opening and are painted in Behr Polar Bear
Vent Cover: Home Depot
