I know I'm hopping on a band wagon trend here, but come on! The genius who came up with this idea deserves some major credit. This project is so versitle, from an industrial, modern space to a rustic, chic space. This post will also give you a little sneak peak into how my husbands "man room" is coming along. I mentioned the neglect this room has received over the past two years in a previous post, but it's coming together nicely... and fairly quickly!

Starting out with supplies, I learned from my experience putting together these bathroom shelves that there had to be an alternative to purchasing my supplies at a big box store. I knew there had to be a cheaper alternative and I found it! Supplyhouse offers the ability to purchase "imported" fittings, which come at a significantly cheaper price. Granted, if you're using these fittings for their actual purpose, you're probably sacrificing higher quality products. Good news, this is purely decorative and these fittings do the trick wonderfully. Do not make the mistake of buying your supplies at big box stores! You will pay upwards of $8 for a SINGLE FLANGE! Now that my rant is complete, let's begin :)
Here are the supplies you will need PER 1 curtain rod

Be sure to measure your window width and swap out the 60" nipple for the appropriate length for your window. You can also chose a smaller length nipple if you want your rod to be more flush with the wall. If you're using curtain rings such as these ones from Ikea, put these on before you screw on the final floor flange. Same applies if you're using curtains with a pocket or tabs.

One piece of advice I will give, if you're insistent on purchasing the black pipe and fittings, be aware they will come with a black grease on them. This grease is extremely difficult to fully remove and will transfer. I cleaned my pipes with dish soap, which seemed to remove the majority. An alternative is to purchase the silver galvanized pipes and fittings, but these are much more expensive.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
