In keeping with my exterior sprucing up theme, today I want to share an inexpensive project, a garden hose stand for about $25. As simple as this project was, it's been one my most favorites that I've tackled this year, perhaps because it's so useful. As you can see, there are very minimal steps and supplies needed. I created two of these holders, both one in front and in back of my house. I believe the 4"x4" post I purchased was 10' long, meaning I had plenty to do both holders with one 4"x4" post. Each holder stands about 3.5' tall (about 1.5' are below ground in concrete). The circular pieces I purchased from Menards on sale for about $15 each. While these would not have been my first choice, I made them work with a little white spray paint. On a side note, here are a few of the projects I'm hoping to wrap up on soon! My basement ceiling is coming to an end as far as painting goes, but I've got something else in mind to do in a few areas. Then, the last two big basement projects remaining will be doing something with the floor (either epoxy or stain) and painting the stairs. People! I've started those hideous green chairs I bought almost two (YES, TWO) years ago. One chair is about 3/4 the way done. If you have forgotten how ugly they were, here's a reminder... Happy Saturday! Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans 12:9-10
