Happy Sunday! This week/weekend has been so productive for myself. We got back from a two week vacation last weekend and since then I have hit the ground running with projects on my to-do-list. I finally painted the last bedroom in our house( after two years) and painted the very last door. I feel like I'm making progress! I completed a few exterior projects that I'll be creating a video for, so stay tuned. And now the point of this post... A few months back, Lowes was having an end of season clearance sale and I happened to snag 4 light fixtures and a floor lamp. The ceiling light fixtures were $10 a piece and the floor lamp $15! Can you say steal? I could not pass up the opportunity to swap out our builder grade light fixtures for ones with more character. First, I changed out our upstairs hallway lights. I really enjoy these drum shade light fixtures much more. Second, I changed out our upstairs bathroom light and painted the vent cover white so it wouldn't be such an eye sore. Thirdly,I changed out the light fixture in my "beauty" room, which I'm hoping to make a post about soon. Lastly, I picked up this light fixture for $15 due to a damaged box. I was a little concerned I'd get the box home and there would be damaged or missing pieces, but it was in perfect condition! This light fixture was originally a bronze finish, which does not go with my house theme at all. So, I spray painted it black and put it in my husbands "man room", which has a few other black pieces. One thing I'm sure to do every time I enter a home store is visit the clearance section. You never know what you'll find!
