Happy Saturday! Finding motivation to tackle half started projects can be difficult for me, but luckily this month I only work 4 days a week due to random appointments and a weekend getaway I'm going on with Brent for our 4th anniversary here in a few weeks. This leaves me an extra day to bust out all the necessary tools and not be stressed about cleaning up the mess I'm bound to make! This weekend I turned an old painters ladder into a stand by simply adding some wood. I used left over lath from my A/C unit cover project and paint/stain I already had, making this project FREE! It was my intention over a year ago when I found this ladder at a flea market to turn it into a stand, but it took a backseat to more important projects. Two years of owning our home and I finally feel like the decorating can begin. Here is how the ladder appeared before I added a shelf. It wasn't the safest thing to have a lamp sit on. And here is the after. I think I did a fairly good job of layer paints and stains to match the original rustic/distressed paint. Now, time to decorate it with pumpkins!

anks for sharing the article, and more importantly, your personal experience mindfully using our emotions as data about our inner state and knowing when it’s better to de-escalate by taking a time out are great tools. Appreciate you reading and sharing your story since I can certainly relate and I think others can to
