So today was my Friday! Extended weekends call for completing home projects! But first let's talk about how my pumpkin with cream iced coffee this morning tasted like I was drinking puréed tree bark. Am I the only one who's had this happen?

Okay, back to the real reason for this post. Project number one I would like to tackle this weekend is getting our entire first floors hardwoods repolyurethaned. Last summer when we refinished our floors, we only applied two coats of high build poly. That was mistake number one. So here's to several more coats this weekend! Mistake number two was using a high gloss finish (I thought I was being a nice wife for letting Brent pick). Turns out that high gloss shows EVERYTHING! So this time around I'll be sticking with satin finish. Several things are going to make this process much trickier than last summers poly session. 1. We live in the house now unlike last summer when we refinished the floors. 2. We have furniture in our house that we have to move out and back in. 3. We have a cat. Cats have hair. And everything peaks their interest. Fingers crossed there will be no permanent kitty prints on our floors.

The second project I want to tackle is restoration hardware inspired shelving behind our upstairs toilet. This should be a fairly quick and easy project. My only dilemma is what to put on the shelves: Java gel stain or white paint?

Thirdly, I have GOT to get those teal chairs reupholstered. I am totally dreading them for some reason.

Happy Wednesday!

Amazing stuff that you have shared here man. Is this something custom made like the forum where people with services online expertise join in and discuss stuff?

This is the reason why we should keep on working hard so that we can have our own dream bedroom one day! I am hoping that I will be able to achieve the design that I have in my mind once my budget permits me. But let us focus on the things you want to do with your life. I know that life may get stressful sometimes, but I believe that you are are taking the right path. Having a time for the things that you love to do is a great thing. No matter how busy we are, we should do that as much as we can!
